small amount of sweetener—usually brown rice syrup—almond milk has a light,
slightly nutty flavor that substitutes well for low-fat or fat-free milk. Almond milk is 100 percent lactose free and is suitable for
those with dairy sensitivities.

Look for almond milk in cartons, either on the shelves or in the refrigerated section of
natural foods stores and grocery stores. Almond milk will keep for 7 to 10 days; refrigerate

opening.
